miauu's Layer States lets you organize your layers into multiple setups, called layer states, within the same scene, using a simple tab-based interface.

Layer states are useful when working on complex scenes with many layers, or when you need different layer configurations for different tasks (modeling, rendering, exporting, collaboration, etc.).

With Layer States, you can save entire layer structures and settings and easily switch between them. Each state stores all layers with their properties and objects at the moment it is created or manually saved. When restored, your scene returns to exactly the way it was saved. For objects, the stored properties include their visibility in the viewport.

Because layer states are saved with the MAX file, they are easily accessible to everyone on your team.

  • Create and manage multiple layer snapshots. Add, rename, delete, and rearrange tabs.
  • Multiple layer structures per scene - organize your objects any way you need: by categories, properties, tasks, workflows, etc.
  • Each team member can have their own layer setup in the same project, without interfering with others.
  • Assign unique background and text colors to each tab. Highlight the active tab with your own color scheme. Customize the UI background to match your workspace.
  • Dock the Layer States UI directly into the Layer/Scene Explorer, or keep it as a floating panel.
